sore/burning feeling at top of bump??

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help, for last few days the top of my bump - right by my ribs has been so sore... touching it hurts and it feels like a burning sensation when i'm lying down...it feels a bit as if my skin is being torn inside, sorry if that sounds gross!
I can feel the bubba moving loads and i'm 4/5ths down - which midwife said meant only another 5th and then i'm fully engaged - I would have thought as they're moving lower i'd have had less pains at the top of my bump?

Does any of this make sense?! If anyone can offer any advise or has a similar feeling please let me know..!

Many Thanks
Lisax

OMG I have that and it hurts soooo much!!!!

I'm a good few weeks behind you but I've had rib pain for weeks now, and now this burning, especially on my right side. I am pretty sure my baby is laid kind of diaganal with his head near my ribs on my right, and his feet much lower in my bump and on the left, if you know what I mean? I thought thatt was why I ws getting the pain but maybe not if your baby if almost fully engaged!

I mentioned it to my midwife last week and she just said it was because everything was been pushed up and out, and gave me some exercises to do (bascically stretching upwards with your hand and getting higher each time) but it still really hurts, I don't even want to put on a bra in case it makes it worse lol!!

I had this so badly for about a week but it is better now. I think it was when everything was moving and stretching downwards. Hope it goes soon.

xx

I have this, but mine is on my left side and feels like someone is giving me a constant chinese burn. My midwife said that is where my stomach is, and it does seem to get worse when I eat, and it was just caused by everything being squashed up. Sometimes that bit of skin gets really hot also where the rest of my bump isn't. It is getting to the point where I don't want to eat anymore because it hurts so much and like Sarahwood said, I hate wearing bras or any of my maternity clothes that are over bump clothes (such a pain because all of my work clothes are over the bump clothes).

Also the skin at the whole of the top of my bump is numb, I have no feeling there whatsoever.

Roll on April please x

I get this on my left side it almost feels like prickly heat or my bra has been rubbing. I know it's not my bra as the burning is lower than where my bra sits. (If that makes sense!)
Must just be the skin stretching!!!! Glad I'm not the only one!!

i am sitting in my office with this as i type, it really is unbearable! midwife just said its normal. Walking around the office helps, personally i think its got something to do with how i sit and how long im sitting down for..... as it pushes everything up
If anyyyone knows how to prevent this please share !!

I think I might have to get my gym ball out and see if that helps - thanks Sam9kids! Its agony I think I might have a bath and see if that eases it at all, and then try the gym ball!

It's good to know its not just me, it hurt so much while I was shopping today I was getting all kinds of concerned looks lol!!
