MIL was a mw and told me it isn't necessarily true and always to be aware of reduced movements, can't do any harm to get checked out xx

Its a hard one to call though because even if they are usually quiet before labour, it may be nothing and they may be having a lazy day and you get your hopes up. Like I had diarrhea last night (sorry tmi) and was convinced it would be the start lol so its one of those things, maybe it is maybe it isnt.... frustrating as hell isnt it!! All these things SEEM to mean we will be in labour soon but they never amount to anything... I bet when they do we will not take it seriously because all the weeks of "is it??" like the boy who cried wolf But Good Luck hun!!

Some do go calm before being born as there isn't much room in there for movement. Other babies stay the same or become more active. With my son he was very active leading up to labor and during labor.

My doctor told me just today that the majority of women report reduced movement 24ish hours before they go in to labor.
