lack of energy? anyone else?

Hi

i know its a given with pregnancy that you will be more tired but i am struggling with pretty much everything already i just feel so drained. we are moving house on the 3rd and i still have lots of odd jobs to finish on my flat which we are letting out to my BIL and i have a week to pack on my own because DH is working such long hours. then when we get into the house dh is back to work for a full week so not able to help which means i need to paint the bathroom, kitchen, touch up paint everywhere else in the house and un pack on my own. i am dreading it to be honest. luckily i would of finished work by then but i just feel so tired all the time. my flat looks really dirty and messy, i havent given it a proper clean in about 2 weeks. just popping the hoover around here, dusting there, washing up every day etc.

i just have such little energy its unreal. i know i need some iron tablets which probably isnt helping me at all. just wish i could pay someone else to do all the work until baby is born lol

how are you all coping? xx

i feel the same. my last blood tests showed i'm anaemic so i'm on iron tablets but they don't seem to be doing much. i work all day, then pick my daughter up from after school club, by the time i've fed, bathed and put her to bed i'm exhausted! I'm ready for bed by 9! Feel like a recluse!

We moved house as well, was the most stressful time and done my back in! i wanted to make sure everything was left perfectly clean. I would say don't worry too much about leaving things spotless. a little bit of mess isn't going to kill anyone- just relax and look after yourself and baby bump xx

I'm the same hun....so tired and finding it hard to juggle everything! I am anaemic too and MW has upped my iron tablets to the highest dose but not been taking htem long enought to make much of a difference! (hope they will soon tho)

Working full time, looking after my 10 year old and keeping the house in order as well as all the other other things I promised myself I would do is just knackering me out!!! I think if i had hubbi at home it would make life easier but he's not been here since October so that makes it harder. My daughter does help out at home but i feel guilty if she does too much, bless her. Managed a quick phone call with hubbi the other day and he said to just leave what I cant manage and he'll finish the nursery when he's home, but i really wanted it to look nice when he got back

Guess I'm not superwoman after all

Yup.. me too. Had a bit of an energy burst bout two weeks ago where I cleaned my house. But since then I've been struggling to do the day to day things like washing up and my house is in dire need of a spring clean again! Want my energy back so I can get ready for this baby!!

Me too!! every few weeks I will get a burst and do something, but for me i start to feel crappy a few hours after I wake up, like I just want to go back to sleep again, so Ihave a nap and feel even worse. I try and take my dog out for walks but just feel even more tired instead of energised... Im lucky as im not working now and I dont have any other children, so I cant imagine what its like for you all, I really feel for you as I cant even be bothered to do my husbands ironing, I feel so useless!! xx

I'm really struggling too. I had the day off work yesterday, thinking I would get lots done or at least do a little bit. After my blood tests first thing I sat down and didn't move again..... I find myself waking in the night thinking what I need to do but in the morning all my energy has gone. I'm still at work full time at the mo (unit next weds) but find at about this time that I start to fall asleep at my desk.... there is nothing I can do to stay awake

yep energyless and keep picking up viruses so generally feeling quite weak and feeble.... I eat really well... at least 5 fruit and veg a day... healthy snacks like nuts and dried fruit, cereal, have museli and yogurt for breakfast, getting plenty of iron... we eat things like pasta and veg, homemade steak and ale pie, cottage pie, etc for dinner so i can't be lacking in anything... baby making is just a drain i think!
