How long can i stay 2cm dilated for??

hia ladies hope you all ok!

Do you think i could have him tonight or tomorrow...or will i still be like this next week?

I wish I knew the answer to this, but I think everyone is different, it really is individual. I'm almost 2cm, but they think I won't go into active labor for another week (hopefully so I'll reach full term), but they also said it could be tomorrow.
Very confusing, but there really is no straight answer as far as I've heard.

I was 2cm until a couple of hours before I delivered, but think this is uncommon.

MIL said she was walking around 2cm for weeks before she had my OH.

So not sure... but walking around, bouncing on an excercise ball, warm relaxing baths and keeping upright should help nature along a bit now you're already dilating.

it depends on how quick your contractions start getting. there is no specified number of days for that

Yeah often mums can be 1-2 cm the whole last trimester I'm afraid! Just keep active to aid any further action, but it cld still be a while!

My Aunt was dilated about 4 centimeters for over a month before having one of her babies, and then wasn't dilated at all about 6 hours before having one of her other babies...Unfortunately, dilation isn't much of an indication!
