How am i suppose to kick count?

how should i be kick counting with an anterior placenta? I just dont feel him. I havent 'properly' all day, i mean i feel him kick me in the bum and cervix occasionaly but thats about it! Im sure he is okay but even still its a little worrying at times. With my DD she was constantly on the move. Any ideas? shall i mention it to my midwife you think?

My midwife told me they don't bother telling you to kick count anymore.

She said we all know whats normal for our baby's and if that pattern changes then to get it checked out

I were going to say the same thing, but you said it for me Kick counts cause un-neccasery worry and concern sometimes.... My babys never had a proper pattern, but i know what movements normal and what isn't and if you ever have any concerns i belive you should ring your hospital as soon as.

My doctor told me the same thing, he said just to look for a change or decrease in movement.

My doctor told me that if i feel there's been a reduction in movements to do the following ;

lay on my left side
write down the time i laid down
for every movement i feel, make a little tick on the paper
continue to do this until I've felt 10 movements
write down the time of the 10th movement

if within 2 hours of laying down I DO NOT feel 10 movements, call L&D and they will decide wether I should go in for monitoring or not.
