Hey everyone just wondering got these symptoms not long before labour and how long approx?
Don't worry it's not too long question.. Well i've already lost my plug 2 weeks ago nearly so I know that's one sign
About a week ago now I got this weak feeling in my back and belly, the only way I could describe it was as if I was on a ride that was gonna shoot down. My sister recalls having this but she's not sure when.
A while after I got this feeling I decided to have a lay down .. then I started getting dull back ache like I'd come on in a few days, then it got worse and my back was very stiff like a board then I'd get muscle tightenings in my back round to my hips then gradually round to my lower stomach then it would creep up getting higher and tighter more achy, then my belly would get hard
after it had been in my hips and baby would stick out slightly so then I was thinking it was a real contraction? They just got more painful and closer together lasting for atleast 2 hours.
I thought it was really the start of something but gradually as it got later in the day my back ache went away. I've had the same thing happen yesterday but only for 1 hour or so but everday now I get back ache and a bit of stomach ache. Not really sure what to make of this , did anyone else get this not long before giving birth?
Well ive been getting similar pains for awhile now with the muscle tightenings through the whole pelvis, back and lower abdo. This started at 32 weeks with my son i didnt have him till nearly 41. My mw said for me its because its my 2nd. She thinks pelvic pains ect come sooner and more painful as these muscles are already weak.
Youve still got 3 weeks to go, and braxton hicks do get worse towards the end. So i cant really say if it means labour is close as it wasnt for me and sure hope its not this time
its normal. but ring your mw to put your mind at ease. its actually the beginning of things. when i was pregnant for my 4th baby i had those and was actually admitted for delivery twice but nothing, but the 3rd time i put to bed
