Hope one of you lovely ladies can help me stop worrying!
Is 6cm of amniotic fluid at 34 weeks low? What was yours?
I am 34 weeks today, was in hospital on monday cos of reduced fetal movements. Baby's heart rate was fine and he only moved a few times while on the CTG. Midwife was worried about how big bump was (it measured 43cm!) so was sent for a GTT and an urgent growth scan. I am still waiting on the GTT results. The scan showed baby is only slightly above average size. nothing to worry about there. When I got home I was looking at the scan printout and saw it said my amniotic fluid level at 'deepest pool' is 6cm. The consultant and midwife didn't mention this so am I worrying over nothing?
6cm deepest pool is really good!! Don't panic.... only 5 weeks ago, I had 4cm for all 4 pools.... I was on danger list... then they found a pool this week of 6cm and others that add up to 13-14cm. I think you will be fine... it does go down as pregnancy progresses - I have read up extensivlely on this...
Thanks! Phew I didn't realise there was a difference between deepest pool and the total amount, I stupidly googled the amniotic fluid index and started worrying, that will teach me!
Lili - have read a few of your posts in the june baby thread and have everything crossed you and baby will be ok! I knew you'd be an expert on fluid
41zipster - good luck with the rest of your pregnancy too, thanks for your advice
