Yep its a pregnancy thing, i get it all the tym, my midwife told me its cos we n yr preg yr stomach muscle relaxs and so it cnt control things like that. but yeh its due 2 2 much acid...not nice i no xx
I get this as well, and find Tums really helps. Water won't as it will dilute the acid in your stomach making it produce more. Even knowing that, a glass of ice water always makes me feel better. I also find that not over eating, or trying to laydown too soon after eating or drinking helps keep it in check.
Yuck...I get this too!! Usually in the middle of the night and it wakes me up...as though the 500 plus trips to the loo is not enough to keep me awake. I just take some heartburn stuff to sort it out, but my throat always feels slightly sore afterwards.
