Had my Growth Scan - had private scan 4d pics!!

so i had my growth scan today, everythings fine baby is measuring correct.

I asked them to confirm the sex and he said im not sure but i think its FEMALE!! and then in the next breath he said but it has got his legs crossed! how can he tell with its legs crossed??

He said the 20 week scan is more reliable as they can see more so now im in limbo, is a girl or boy?

They said that to me at my 20 week scan, I've made them check at every growth scan I've had since then and they've all said female. Do you have another growth scan arranged? x

Im nearly 30 weeks and I get scanned every 2 weeks and they always point out the babies bits to me, which is really clear! I've heard that it gets harder to tell after 20 weeks but my boys bits are very obvious for the whole world to see! Hmmm lucky boys i guess!! lol.

What were you told at your 20 week scan?

I've been told at 20, 28, and 32 weeks that he's a boy and like above its always been very obvious, flashing his bits for all to see

i was told at 20 weeks that it was a boy and she said she was 99.9% sure, she said she'd be very suprised if it came out a girl and pointed out his bits to us.

but now its got me thinking after today ...

yes ive got another one in 3 weeks time, i was told a boy at 20 weeks!

I cant see how he would of been able to see properly if baby had its legs crossed so im sure your 20 week scan is most likely right. xx

I agree, I'd be more inclined to go with what the sonographer told you at the 20 week appointment - but just ask them to check at your next growth scan

so i had a private scan today and its confirmed, its a boy!! ive attached some pics for you, his current weight is 4lb 10 at the minute with 7 weeks to go so i reckon bout a 7lb - 7 and a half lb baby! x
