What do you ladies think about my money making idea ladies?

Hi everyone, this is my first post in 3rd trimester, moved over today. Hope you are all well and not suffering too much in the heat today!!
Well, like i said in the title, i have a bit of a money making idea. I have been signed off work now with a prolapsed disc in my back so am starting to get a bit bored. I need something to do during the day otherwise i am going to bankrupt us by spending all my money and time in town whilst dd is at the childminders, lol!!! I thought about advertising locally to do peoples ironing. It would be in the comfort of my own home and could do it in my own time, whilst earning a little bit of extra cash which i could definately do with.
Just after a few thoughts really, whether you think it would be a good idea, very popular etc? Thanks.

Welcome to 3rd tri!!
sounds good initially, but, erm, i think if your work found out about this it would be bad news for you... sorry for the downer. not saying they would find out but it would be very awkward if they did... if you're advertising then there is the risk that someone would see it...
also is standing ironing a good idea with prolapsed disc? I was in agony when that happened to me and could only lie down, hence needing to be signed off work!

i think its a good idea but listen to the advice on working whilst signed off - if you did it for family and friends etc it would be ok...

also just a tip i would DIE standing over a hot iron all day....

Thanks ladies.
Just finished doing a few bits of my own ironing and my back is killing me now so i am off to bed in a minute. Maybe it wasnt such a good idea after all, lol. Just been trying to think of something all day and saw my ironing pile there and thought it would be a good idea. I was signed off cause i cant stand up for very long periods of time as well. Didnt even think about the work thing either, good point!!

I wouldn't reccomend the ironing - I can only cope with 1/2 an hour and you have a bad back

How creative are you ?? could you make nappy cakes or gifts for mums and mums to be ???

unfortunately the rates are crap for ironing too! so have a look around to see what places charge near you.. i know around here it's really cheap xx
