contractions 6 min apart approx

I have been having contractions for the last couple hours. Decided to time them and they are approx. 6 minutes apart. They aren't excruciating. The feel like period cramps. Not sure if they are the real thing. I am just waiting to see what happens. Hubby is out, and I have a house full of kids and in the midst of making homemade potatoe salad. Edited to say that I am only (almost) 32 weeks.

I'd call to make sure that it's ok for you to have contractions this early. They might want you to come in so they can stop them. For all you know, and they could tell you, it could be BH at regular intervals.

best of luck!

You need to contact labour ward. They'll want to see you.

call the labor ward and see what they say.

i had them myself the other day but they disappeared by morning. that said you are not as far along as me so if they mean your in labor you need to get to the hospital alot quicker than i would.

Well, I haven't phoned, and I haven't been timing them, as my son has a playdate right now. He is going home in about 10 minutes. I have had a few, but I think they might be getting farther apart. I will time them again when the playdate leaves. My OB knows I have been having them. I talked to him about it last week because I have been getting them for awhile. The thing is, I am not sure if it is real contractions or just BH. What's the difference, anyone know?

ooo use this to time them!
http://www.contractionmaster.com/#

my BH's are sore but not excruciatingly painful! I think if they're takin the breath off you, and you have to stop what you're doin to get thru the pain, then they are more likely to be real!

Ok, playdate just left early because they weren't getting along (fine by me! LOL). So, now I will put my feet up, have a glass of water (what my OB said to do) and time them for real. I will keep you all posted.
