Maternity leave - things to do!

I suffer from coccxydynia (tailbone pain) and now have SPD, so sitting at a desk all day has been getting more and more difficult for a while now. Because of this, I'm taking my maternity leave earlier than I would've liked, and this is my last week! While I'm quite looking forward to spending my days being more comfortable than I would be at work, it's a heck of a long time to not be at work before bubs arrives! What will I do?!
I'm planning on painting the baby's nursery, putting the cot up etc but there's still so much time to fill.
Any ideas?!!!

as a brand new mom, now with limited time on my hands, i'd say:

-cook meals that you can freeze
-pack/prepare hospital bag
-read about what to expect with newborns (i.e. breastfeeding)
-as someone said, thank you notes
-set up a mass email draft with the announcement, so it's easy to send off when the time comes.
-set up scrap book and/or photo albums
-get one area set up where you will be most of the time the first two weeks. kind of like a station with diapers, wipes, snacks, reading light, water bottle, baby clothes. it's nice to be able to stay in one spot and not move around a lot.
-research topics online (i.e. day care, postnatal recovery, etc)

i hope this helps

Sleep

Making meals for the freezer is really good. I did this first time and it was great just to pull something out in the morning and heat it later. If you like baking cakes and muffins are great frozen too.

Washing all the little baby bits too!

Just set yourself something small to do each day and take plenty of rest too.

Swimming? Might ease the spd temporaly. Making meals sounds like a good idea too but my freezer is so full I can't get anything else in there lol Xx

I would agree with swimming, it really helped my SPD. Also try making something, something that you wouldn't normaly do for bubs. I made the soft furnishings for the nursery and had never used a sewing machine before.

I've started a list of things to do on maternity leave before the baby gets here. They are not all things that are going to occupy me for long but hopefully will help with any restlessness!

Make sure camera is charged and ready to go

Make baby book/scrapbook

Wash baby clothes

Go through clothes and separate tops suitable for breastfeeding

Cook frozen meals

Update my CV

Pack hospital bag
