Anyone else had high blood platelet count??

Iv just been to my midwife appointment. She rang the hospital to get my blood results and whilst she was on the phone she said oh yes that is high isn't it? I was like what?! When she came off the phone I asked her and she said my blood platelets are high (470) last time they were 336! She said it's to do with your blood clotting but I'm sure if it was a worry they'd have got in touch with you... Thanks. I can't fine much on it on the internet, has anyone else had this?

I'm worried now xx

i havn't but my best friend has 6 kids and had it everytime its normal for her !!!! i think it just means they keep an eye on you maybe an extra blood test and when bubs is born they will do another one to make sure it goes back down yr mw is right they would have contacted you if they were worried
i also think if it stays higher theres a jab they give you at birth to help with the clotting x
