Just wondering because when I was in hospital yesterday in suspected early labour bought on by UTI, the midwife gave me an internal and said my cervix was soft and 1-2cm dilated but still long. The tightenings and pain went away so didn't go into full blown labour.
Just wondering whether I'm looking at 2 weeks or 4??? Or if it makes any different at all?
My best friend was 2 cm dilated for over a month before she actually gave birth to her son. It really depends though. If you're not effaced, then I don't think it's going to be anytime soon. I would still keep an eye on your symptoms though, since it was suspected early labor in the first place. You never really know though. Some women go straight through 1-10 within 24 hours. Other women could be 1-2 cm dilated for weeks before labor actually occurs. Good luck hunn! Hang in there!
Thanks girls, yeh I was thinking because it's not effaced and is still long and I have no other symptoms I'm looking at at least 2 more weeks, just have to wait and see! would like to at least get past 37 weeks so he is fully cooked but doctors said they were not concerned if he came soon as I'm only a few days away from that
