lauryn (ttc_lolly) is being induced TODAY! UPDATE & PICS PG 8!

hi ladies, some of you might remember lauryn's post on wednesday where she went to day assessment because of swelling and itching of her hands and feet.

well, that was wednesday and she has been at the hospital ever since! luckily she doesn't have preeclampsia but they found her blood pressure was sky high. they managed to get it under control with meds, but she's been messed around a lot since arriving at the hospital, being told constantly that they will induce her but then changing their minds at every shift change. however, they have now decided that today is the day!

baby is coming!

she's having the pessary inserted later this afternoon so please send her lots of love and luck for a quick labour because she's feeling a bit nervous at the impending pain!!

UPDATE: the pessary is IN! lauryn and her partner are both very excited but nervous. will hopefully be updating you all before bedtime with the news that little one has arrived! she's very grateful for all of your messages xx

UPDATE 2: lauryn is having painful contractions, she said they're coming really frequently but she hasn't been checked yet. hopefully she'll be in established labour and baby will come today!!

UPDATE 3 (6.30pm): lauryn was examined at 3, cervix still closed and she was in a lot of pain so was given pethadine. unfortunately she only managed to relax for 20 minutes before the pain returned, so she was examined at 5pm and found to be 4cm! she's now in delivery and has had an epidural after a long afternoon of contractions, so hopefully it shouldn't be too much longer before baby arrives!

9.45pm : BABY IS HERE!! i'll let lauryn fill you all in with the details but she is here safe and sound. welcome to mummyhood lauryn!! congratulations xx
