Been sat at the delivery suite all afternoon as my gp sent me there. All day yesterday was feeling really tender at the bottom of my bump and as though i'd been kicked several times. I'm in agony down that area when baby moves.

They've sent me home with anti biotics and said its a water infection but i'm not convinced tbh. Since yesterday i've just been feeling really crappy and shattered. My bp was high on tuesday and i had protein but today bp has gone down a bit but still got a bit of protein, they sent my urine off on tuesday and said theres mixed growth in it but the gp said its not enough to cause an infection but the hospital were determined it is

I've not had any problems weeing, it doesnt burn or sting at all

The midwife i saw was lovely but they were all rushed off their feet and she pretty much said 'Your urine stinks so its a UTI'. The wee had been in the pot a good four hours, it was the one i took to the gp, i offered several times to do a fresh one and explained it wasnt that concentrated because it wasnt long after i had got up.

Got antibiotics and told to go back if the pain doesnt ease, do any of you ladies know how long it takes for them to kick in?

I had a UTI 2 weeks ago (no symptoms at all) just smelly wee too and nitrates in it. Anyway had a 5 day course of antibiotics and was gone, So I'd say fairly quickly

Hope they work quickly like yours, i'm in agony
