4d scans worthwhile?

Evening ladies,

Just wonderedd a general thoughts on 4d scans and how worthwhile you found having them?

Have been chatting with OH and we are undecided! I've found a clinic not to far away that offers a 45 min scan with 4 x 6x4 glossy colour prints and a dvd recording of the entire scan for £135 which seems reasonable enough as my mum recalls my sister in law paying £300 for her first which was nearly 6 years ago but first site I found quoted £199

Says on the site that they do the scans from 24-34 weeks... I'll be 30 tomorrow and we won't be able to go until the end of the month anyway so then we'll be looking at 33-34 weeks....
Anyone else had one done this late and how did you find the images came out?

I desperately want to see some better images of him, the only scan's we've got he's hiding but I also don't want to waste the cash if they don't come out well!

Any thoughts? Thanks muchly

Tink x

I absolutely loved my recent one @ 28+2 (the pictures in my signature)!

I had one done at 24 weeks and he was so far back near my spine that the pictures were unfocused. So I went again at 27+3 and he wasn't cooperating at all... all I got were pictures of his hands in his face and his butt (I think they're posted somewhere on here in another thread...) My mom felt bad for my OH and I because we wanted to see the little stinker so bad and had no luck on our own so she paid for a 3d/4d scan for us at my OB office (instead of a private place) and the pictures were great! His hand was in the way most of it so we're going back next Tuesday but I am so happy with the few pictures I got.

I had mine at 30 weeks and I loved it, I wondered if it would be worth it too and after there was no doubt about it, I was SOOOOO happy I had it done

of course it will also depend on the baby and its position as well as the person doing the scan but I thought it was well worth the money

I LOVED my 4d scan at 28+1 and I only paid £60 for it! Was definately worthwhile for me. The only thing I would maybe be wary of is that you will be a bit further along so if baby is squished then your pictures may not be as clear. But you should definately ring them and see what they have to say
