OT - Mum is in hospital and no-one told me!

Mum and Dad live in Spain and Mum has been having problems with her leg being infected. Having an exploratory op today to see what is going on and no-one told me. Now I can't get hold of her or Dad and am worrying myself sick. Just wish I knew what was going on - not knowing is worse. I think that they were trying to shield me as I have been in hospital this week with threatened pre-term labour, but my brother called me and told me. Not sure what to do or what I can do, just feel really helpless xx

Someone will get hold of you soon hun, i expect they dont know yet, but as soon as they do they will ring.......now dont go getting yourself in a state, thats what they didn't want!xxxx

If I remember rightly hun, your hubby is in the forces?

And the one golden rule we forces wives have to live by is NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS

Try not to worry hun, you will hear from them soon, or via your brother. It must be frustrating that they kept it from you, but they only had your best interests at heart and didn't want to worry you.

Awww I'm sorry they didn't tell you. Now they've worried you moreso that you can't get ahold of them, rather then what you would've worried had they told you. I'm sure everything is ok though! Try not to worry

Thanks ladies, yep - no news was good news. I think that Dad just had too much on his plate, sometimes wish that they would move back to the UK. Mum should be out in 3 days and the infections has been cleared out. Hope she is better on the 26th as they fly out then! xx Clairyh - you have a good memory xx
