Anti D injection

I have this on the 19th when I will be 28weeks. Got a coupld of questions :

1) Where do they do it?? (Please tell me it's in the shoulder and not the bum!)
2) Does it make people feel sick? - I need to be prepared!
3) Is this the only one I have or will I have to have more before baby is born? I know I will have one once she's here is she's Rh+ (which is most likely)

Thankyou

In yer arse!

I didnt feel sick. I feel a bit 'strange' but only becuase I know the lab manager who makes this stuff very well.

You'll probably have one or 2 more.

i had mine in my arm.
u'll only have to have one unless there are any problems.
i felt fine with mine but u do have to sit in the waitin room incase of adverse reactions.
xx

aww dont worry

1-i had mine in my arm.-very annoying seen as i put my best pants on expecting it to be in my bum =(. lol

2-i didnt make me feel sick i just had a really achey arm for a couple of hours. Tip--if youve gotta go back to work tell your mw which hand you write with..and then have the injection in the opposite..as i said before it aches
3-i only had to have another one as i had a slight bleed at 30 weeks they did a blood test and it turns out i needed more anti D...but other wise no you shouldnt have to have another one..

honestly dont worry about the injection ive the biggest wuss in the world with pain and its just like a sharp scratch and then its over youll be fine

good luck--x

i had mine in my arm, one at 28wks then one at 32wks as thats routine here. will have to have another one when bubs is born if the blood group is different.
it didnt make me feel ill in the slightest, both times it was done and i left straight away.

mine was in my bum at 28 weeks , its combined so only one during pregnancy & usually one straight after birth.

to me its hardly any different to a blood test etc...

the midwife was saying oh i know it hurts/stings etc.. nearly done! , i was thinking wtf? i told her it was nothing compaired to labour

give me a anti-d injection anyday compaired to labour , infact id take a million anti d injections
