Sooo not well but they won't listen....so this is normal..?

I went to see my.mw yesterday as not been feeling the best... Mostly migraines... And severe swelling of hands feet and face so she took my bp and in 5 days it has risen from 120/65 to 150/90 :/ she was concerned as I had protein in my urine too so was rushed to hospital for blood tests for suspected preeclampsia, anyway bloods were fine so was sent home even though I told them I'm not feeling well at all

The migraines worse today as is the nausea, baby been very quite for 4 days now but they said that's normal toward the end, my mw wants to see me more often to moniotor me as my bp hasn't lowered

T hey keep fobbing me off saying alk this is normal n there is nothing wrong with me or my bloods would gave shown this,

so I just suffer then,? What would you do?

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. If the midwife is no help, can you not go see your GP? Don't suffer Hun!

Can't offer much advice other than you know your body and if you're not feeling right then you shouldn't be left to suffer. Can you talk to your GP about how you feel? When are you seeing the MW again? I hope you are feeling better soon.

xx

I would say go back too. Can you ring your usual midwife, explain that you're not happy with being sent away and ask her advice. If not then I would take yourself back to the hospital and tell them that although you realise things were OK yesterday you don't feel that things are right, and you want to make sure your baby is OK.

So all the signs are pointing to pre-eclampsia - I would want to know, if the blood tests came back negative, can you still have pre-eclampsia?
I think I would call your midwife/doctor or the hospital and say you want to go and see somebody to talk about pre-eclampsia as although they may know all the details and feel happy sending you home, you dont know all the details and want to see someone to check that you are safe to be sent home as things have not been explained to you.

The symptoms sound like pre-eclampsia, so why are the blood tests not showing pre-eclampsia and why? So what else could it be? What are dangerous signs you need to look for etc? These are the questions I would be asking the dr or even better asking a specialist on pre-eclampsia.

I hope you get some answers, dont let them fob you off - say to them that may well know what they are doing, but you dont and you cant put your trust in someone that is saying 'go home, you are ok' unless they explain why they think you are ok with all those symptoms ......
