Hi, ive been having a stingy like feeling under my left breast just at the top of my rib cage. Kinda feels like acid burning away inside me! I had it a while ago before i was pregnant and last night it kept me up. Someone suggested it could be gallstones, anyone had a similar experience? x
I agree with happigail...gallstone pain kind of starts in the middle of your ribcage then wraps round to your back on the RIGHT hand side. It is an horrendous pain and you wouldn't be posting on a forum if you had it!
Always best to ask the doc if it's troubling you though.
can i ask those who have had problems with gallstones a question please?
Does it feel like you have been winded (but with more pain)?
I was only winded once as a child so I cant remember how it feels, but the pain of gall stones and gall bladder infection is horrific. Its sharp and constant, you try to move yourself to a position where it wont hurt and you just cant, after the infection that put me in hospital I kept onto my gall bladder for a year and tried to manage it with diet, that REALLY didn't work. You will find the pain is significantly worse after eating as the gall try's to secret bile to break down the food but the stone get wedged in the hole OUCHHHHHHHHH.
If after eating the pain is worse I'd go to the doc xx
I have been getting a burning type pain under my rib towards my right side. It's much worse when I sit down. My mw said that it's my stomach being squashed by uterus so it's actually my stomach acids that I can feel
