I measured big for the whole 3rd tri... and by 33 weeks, I was measuring 5 weeks ahead (so was measuring as 38 weeks) and stayed 5 weeks ahead right to the end, ie at 37 wks was measuring 42 weeks!!
My MW referred me to see a consultant at the hospital as soon as I started to measure big, but when I went to see them they said they don't bother doing growth scans for potentially big babies as they are not accurate enough!! That's Birmingham for you!!!
I went into labour naturally at 39 weeks and gave birth to Morgan weighing 7lb 8oz! Was quite a shock, as according to my growth chart and my measurements, I was on target for a 10lb baby!!!!
So, from my experience, I would say don't read too much into the measurements!!
hey hun I had my 34 week appointment and Im measuring huge too but it isnt very accurate they way its done so the midwife told me Im only 5'o ft and have a very very short torso so I look like a beachball babys head is engaged but you wouldnt know it. it hasnt allowed for any extra space for breathing or eating boo hoo and that baby is at least going to be 8lbs or more ouch take care hun and keep us updated
