I know that an increase in vaginal discharge is normal but what about odour? I took a shower this morning and I can literally smell the odour while sitting down right now. Or could an odour be a sign of some sort of infection? Ever since yesterday I've had pains in the upper right side of my stomach just in the one spot. I've done a lot of googling, read about appendicitis/gallbladder etc and am a bit worried now.
As far as odor goes, I'd talk to your dr/mw about it. Pains in your upper stomach could be growing pains (especially if you don't have a fever). Google = worry. lol.
I've had pains (almost like a burning sensation) in my upper left quadrant for over a month now, and the dr has told me every visit that it's just the way LO is growing.
Feel better hun... and back away from Google!!! lol
I would totally mention it to your midwife or doctor, the increase in discharge is not meant to be smelly and it may be a sign of an infection. I have had tonnes of infections this time around and have foul smelling discharge... I can smell myself after I shower too its pretty disgusting.
During my first 12 weeks I had Bacterial Vaginosis and this had a foul odour, just ring up midwife/gp tomorrow for a swab to be taken and then they can give you the adequate cream/medicine to clear it up. I know that during 3rd trimester it is important to have infections checked out sooner rather than later as it can bring on pre-term labour. xx
i really know what you mean! ive been checked ect and no infection ect, just told me its MY increased sense of smell, other half cant smell it .. it churns my guts a little but i shower 2 times aday due to the smell im paranoid people thinking im dirty lol but no1 else can smell it!! i can defo smell something!! im not cracking up lol xx
