heartburn and cough - help!

I am feeling a bit sorry for myself suffering heartburn and a cough - anybody got any ideas on how to get rid of it other than just not eating for the next 5 or 6 weeks

I'm on a pretty constant Gaviscon Advanced regime. Not eating doesn't help me, it sometimes makes it worse.

I know how you feel, its terrible isn't it? I've developed a really annoying bad cough too over the last couple of weeks and no sign of it going, it keeps me up at night and not to mention the heartburn.

Anyway, no cures for the cough but as for the heartburn, drinking milk is supposed to help. Also things like Rennies and Gaviscon are ok to take too

It is just getting me down, much more than the SPD does.

I am knackered ready for bed but I know it will be 10x worse lying down. And will probably end up making me feel sick and getting in / out of bed with SPD just isn't easy

I've been having the same thing. The heartburn I was prepared for and its manageable right now, but this cough is very random...its not like a "sick" cough its like a "I can't breath anymore" cough....I thought it was just me!

I end up coughing so much that I start bring up gunk. At one point I thought the cough was a cold but starting to think it is the heartburn causing it.

Hmm, maybe it is the heartburn thats causing us our coughs. Im going to see my doctor next week anyway so im going to ask him if he knows what it could be or the cause of it.
