Painful urination

Hi ladies :-)

So I was wondering if anybody else is finding it hurts when they wee? I have had it for a couple of week now. My urine is fine according to my midwife, so what could it be?

x

I have this too, and my wee samples have been fine, so I'm interested to see the answers! It sort of feels like LO's head might be squishing the tube that the wee goes through!

There is just so much more pressure on your bladder this late in the game. Mine hurts sometimes, but not always. It's interesting if you're peeing and the baby moves and your flow gets stronger - baby definitely can lay on the urethra and pinch nerves around that area as well.
Make sure you keep an eye on it though as you're already in pain you might opt for testing every time you go in to the MW just to make sure nothing is wrong, since you wouldn't suspect it to be now that you've been told it's "fine"

Urethra! that's the word I was looking for! (not 'tube that the wee goes through' )

Makes sense. My midwife tests my urine at every appointment - I think it's standard here
