If I hear one more time...well it won't be as long as it's been, or she knows when the time is right etc... I'll scream. I just want to put on FB then YOU have contractions for 3 weeks, not be able to sleep, feel like crap, nausea, and severe back pain and see if you are not looking forward to the delivery... but I have resisted.. ugh I hate people sometimes. I know they are just trying to be positive but seriously...
I think that sounds good. You even made it sound kind of funny. I understand completely. You will need to focus on yourself and not worry about letting 300 people know that you think you had a contraction.
I don't mind it, so i wont be bothering to come off facebook as it were, if people ask questions and don't get a reply then they will know im out or off to have baby lol! Last time i was in labour i was on facbook and on here chatting to people to take my mind off being in labour! haha had a thread going to play eye spy!!
I'm just going to disconnect my wall so only I can post anything on it. I want to be the one to announce when bubs is born (or my OH), not some friend who heard on the grapevine and announced it for me. If they want to message me fair enough or send a text...but not announce it for me xx
We all want to be on the web and make connections with our friends and then we get upset if it actually happens. You can't possibly control what other people say to you on fb so writing something like that is more rude than just disconnecting your wall. There's no polite way to tell that many people to leave you alone when you're the one who has a fb account anyway, iykwim. So just disconnect the wall, ignore some messages and get on with what you have to do. I bet after the baby comes you'll be mighty happy to come back to some messages and knowing that people were thinking of you during this time.
I made several sarcastic comments "No...the baby has not arrived, I haven't had the baby and forgotten to tell people"
Luckily LO was 3 days early so I didn't get too much hassle (mostly from family members, which is even worse as it's hard to not reply!)
Personally I think it's kinda rude to write something like that when people are just interested and asking about you. If it bugs you then don't answer, stay away from facebook for a bit. I happen to think it's nice when people ask me for updates.... but if it bothers you I'm sure they have no idea so just ignore them. IDK.
