How long does it take for the baby's head to engage?

Does anyone know how long it actually takes for the baby's head to fully engage? Is it a day, a week.....
Just curious!
xx

How longs a piece of string?! It varies person to person, my last pregnacy and this one I was engaged really early on 32/34 weeks some it's later. Don't think it makes much difference to when you go into labour either. I was 8 days early with my first, but a friend of mine pregnant who's head was engaged early as well went 2 weeks over!! Sends you mad thinking about everything!! I've had all the signs every night this week the same as I did the night I started labour with my son and nothing...!!

it can happen quickly or it can happen slowly. You can be engaged weeks or you can engage in labour.

Varies hugely unfortunately! It can be very quick, or take AGES!! For second, and onwards, babies it's also very common for them to pop in and out.

As the others have said it varies a lot. Mine was 1/5 engaged at 36 weeks, but now at 41 weeks it has 'popped out' again to only 3/5! At this rate I will be induced before it's fully engaged!
