Head down at 28 weeks?

I had my 28 week midwife appointment today and the midwife said that the babys head is facing downwards.

Is this normal?

Will he stay this way??

Thanks xx

actually i was told by perintalogist that if your baby is head down at this time 90% of babies actually stay that way! seems strange to me, but that is what she said.....

Yes normal - my Jumping Bean was head down when I went to my 20 week scan - and has stayed that way - I'm 37 + weeks.

Yeah its normal, but might not stay that way until delivery. My baby was head down at 28 week appointment, was breech at 32 weeks 3 days and then head down again at 33 weeks 6 days and been that way since. Think up until about 36 weeks babys can easily switch position.

baby def can change position, but i've also heard that once baby is head down they prefer to stay that way. mine has been head down for ages and never seems to even attempt to change position. she just finds it comfy i guess!

As with most of these ladies my LO has been head down since 20 weeks. I hope she stays that way

Baby will still rotate in your tummy until he's ready to drop down. Just cross your fingers that he will be cephalic rather than breech when the time comes!
