does how fat you are affect your fundal measurement? im just wondering cos if i was putting on weight due to my diet and not just baby then surely my tummy would get fatter and affect the length from my pelvis to my top of fundus where ever that is?
I don't think so because they measure to the top of your uterus. So I think that (on average) the fundal height shouldn't be affected by your weight or any belly fat. I was on the bigger side pre pregnancy and my fundal height still measures as it should.
Normally you only get growth scan if they are worried baby is getting too big or not getting big enough, if you have a condition like pcos or diabetes that can affect baby's size or if the mum is over or underweight.
I'm getting mine @ 34 weeks to check for aforementioned ginormo baby and potential induction. My friend got one at 35 wks because her bump stopped growing- it showed placenta failing so bubba was induced early xxx
