How many calories per day do you eat?


I know in pregnancy you're meant to eat an extra 300 a day but I was eating what I liked and gained more than I was happy about so cut back to 1800 which I figured was okay as I don't do much at all except rest really, with the occasional bit of walking or house work. Anyway today my OH bought me a huge Dairy Milk bar and I've been craving something sweet for ages and felt generally crappy as I had bad BH and ended up eating the whole lot. It totally wasn't worth it and now I am so upset with myself as I was going well Ended up with today's calorie intake being around 3000 How much are you all eating per day and how much do you think is healthy considering I'm pretty sedentary?

oh god... about 3 billion. i dont consciously eat for 2 but i never calorie count anyway and i eat exactly what i like.... which is usually cakes and biscuits every day. i know the pregnancy police are gonna shoot me but this is the only time when i'm not watching my weight and the baby is fine. i eat my greens too tho! i really wouldnt worry about 1 bar of dairy milk, the fact ur upset about it says ur prob really healthy other times!

I have no clue. Sometimes I eat under the recommended amount and sometimes I eat well over I eat in small bursts (can't eat a full meal anymore, too much effort) so don't really notice how much I eat.

I wouldn't normally be upset, I'm just upset because I was doing well at cutting back on my eating and now I've completely ruined it. Not that I normally eat unhealthily, I eat healthily I just eat whenever I'm hungry which is all the time and I'm just not happy with the weight I've gained so wanted to slow the weight gain down a bit before I'm 400 pounds and totally depressed.

lol to many id say, i had my dinner today and then went for a 4 hour sleep and woke up starving again so had more food, im gona just eat what i want then hit the gym when baby comes and lose all the extra weight, this is my 4th pregnancy and ive done ok so far lol

Well I was eating about 2500+ calories(not sure as wasnt counting, but seems like a lot of junk), but about 3 weeks ago I decided to cut back to about 1,900 calories so I wouldnt gain quite as much and could lose all the weight fast after baby is born, even though I was gaining fine before(about 1 lb. per week)-anyway I havent gained more than 1 lb. total in 3 weeks so I have to up my calories again. My Dr. had a talk with me about me not gaining and making sure I'm eating enough, which I thought close to 2,000 was plenty, but it seems not to be.
Dont get on yourself over eating 3,000 calories, you will not suddenly gain weight over that!! Its good and healthy to have the once in a while over eat day!! We all do it. I dont think it would be normal not to have days where you eat junk food like crazy.
And same here- I am very inactive right now due to my cervix effacing already, so I dont need as much calories as a normal preggo woman who is more active-so I really thought 1,900 was fine. I am 5'5 -height plays into it as well.
