I'm just wondering if anyone else has felt this...for the last 3/4 days I've felt a pain almost like a really bad bruise above my belly button. it tends to be worse in the morning and not too bad at night. But if i rub my hand over it, kinda...pulling it to the right a bit? I end up in absolute agony...bending down is also really sore. and sneezing or coughing is the worst. it genuinely feels like I'm splitting up the middle, and I've actually checked for blood a few times lol.
has anyone else had this? Is it just cos my LO is bigger and pressing on it more?
sometimes mine feels extra stretched when baby is laid in certain positions, but not that id check it for blood, id maybe mention that to MW, but im sure all will be normal, these babies do put us through some stuff!! xxxxxx
Ive had this on and off from about 28 weeks...i know exactly what you mean, its agony isnt it? Mine tends to come and go...usually have it for a week or so and then have a week off from it. No idea what it could be, last week when i had it i swear the skin on te area looked slightly pink, like it was actually bruised inside!
I had this a few weeks back and I actually believed it was because of the weird way the baby was sitting, it was almost like he had an elbow pushing at same spot and it bruised me internally feeling, like two inches or so above my belly button so it may be how baby is laying? Xx
Yup I get this on and off all the time.. I think its just your skin stretching. I have a scar above my belly button where I ripped my belly bar out when I was younger and thats where it hurts the most... like the scar tissue just doesnt want to stretch with the rest of the skin xx
I've had this twice now, lasts for a few days and then disappears. I think it depends on how the baby is lying. It's really painful at times though, especially if you laugh or cough as you say. I did find sitting on a birthing ball at antenatal and wiggling a bit seemed to help ease it (maybe it moved LO to a different position )
