aww hun, sorry your having to go through that! i agree with other people drink driving is selfish and irresponsible whatever the circumstances.

me and OH have had similar "discussions" last few weeks, i suggested around 37 weeks it might be an idea that when we go out he only drinks a couple so would still be safe to drive - its 30 mins drive to the hospital and they are really strict about not letting anyone in who appears to be under the influence. anyway OH agreed but moans and always pushes things, just having one or two more than he should as he reckons nothing will happen that night!

my arguement is, for the sake our baby I haven't drank for 9 months and with me now being overdue, we need to be prepared to go to hosp at anypoint. i don't think its that hard to go a few weeks with only having one or 2 drinks a night and surely he shouldnt want to risk it. . . guess men just see things a bit differently, i'd love to seethem cope with pregnancy!

sending lots of sympathy your way!x

I wouldn't be letting him have a lie in!I'd be straight up there with a drastic wake up call! What a silly man! Strange what booze does to people, my partner is still drinking loads, but I'm not going to stop him, maybe he should realise on his own, hopefully he will!!!x

most of my friends put a drinking ban on their OH's from 38wks till baby is born, i hardly think a month is too much to ask , my OH would rarely have a drink anyway and if he did it would only be the one so im not worried plus we are planning on not having to drive anyway

I hate drink driving, it is selfish and not clever. I really hope you can make him realise how stupid he was.

Regarding the drinking, all the way through my pregnancy hubby said he'd stop drinking once September arrived (I'm due 10th Oct) and he has. He still has one or two if he's watching the footy/rugby but not enough that he'd be over the limit. It's only 6 weeks of his life, he said it's much more important to him to be fully available if needed. Oh, and my hubby LOVES the beer!

I'd make a similar agreement with your OH. Hope you're ok

That is so irresponsible he could have killed someone or himself! I hope he wakes up ashamed of himself today and this gives him the kick up the arse he needs - I'd be raging too if I were you x
