Maxi Cosi CabrioFix - Help!

Hi

My sister has given me her old one of these. We had to take off the straps to get the covers off to wash them. I can get the covers on easily, but I can find absolutely nothing online or in the manual as to how the straps go back in place.

Anyone have any idea how to do it? I don't want to fluff it obviously because that could be dangerous. There are so many ways they could go, I have no idea whatsoever. I can see us having to buy a new seat :/

Press the button which lengthens the harness to make the strap with the metal hooks become visable behind the seat, thread the straps through the correct slot & hook onto the metal hook making sure that the strap the metal hook is linked too isn't twisted. Then pull the strap at the front of the carseat to tighten. Hope this helps.

Thanks but no it doesn't unfortunately. There are no straps with metal hooks at all...

The main problem is that the strap at the bottom which seems from pictures to be in a loop somehow isn't. its just a long strap hanging down. I can't find any pictures of what its supposed to look like under the cover.

All the straps are behind the seat so by making the front strap short it should make them visable, I have the same carseat but its hard to explain & its in my oh car at the moment so can't take pictures.

By pressing on the button at the front & pulling the strap at the top it should make metal hooks visible & strap on bottom of photo should get shorter.

If you pull at the strap at the top you just see the shoulder bits (with the plastic catches on). There are definitely no metal hooks at the top (maybe this is an older model or something?).

The shoulder bits are fine, its what's meant to happen with the dangly bit at the bottom I'm concerned about, it should be in a loop and there is a weird hole I'm not sure if its meant to go through..

Ok see at the bottom of your latest photo there's a hole, well the strap needs to come out through there and back in and then it hooks up underneath. If you PM me ur email adress I'll take photos of mine and send them to you. I bought mine from a friend recently and took all the covers off and it took me over an hour to get the blooming thing back together!!! I feel ur pain Hun x

That loop just hooks on the plastic part to the right of your picture, its only to keep it neat & tidy.
