How do you know if baby is engaged?

Can you feel it, or does the mw/dr. just tell you?

Thanks, Leopard! I just read your sig. w/ the butterflies...that is beautiful. We were trying for a long time (2 years-ish) and had unsuccessful fertility treatments and all of a sudden this LO decided to show up by "surprise." Love stories like that.

i heard you also need to pee more since bub is lower down then and pressing on your bladder. I'm not sure if that would be the case with everyone though.
Our LO has just turned head down and I can already feel the difference....Feels a lot heavier down there and a lot more crampy.

Hmmm, I've been peeing a lot more than usual and have had some leakage, which is super embarrassing, but the dr. just said the baby is pushing on my bladder. I've been crampy, too, but have been for a while with SPD. So I don't know? I guess maybe they'll tell me at the ultrasound next week?

When does this usually happen? I feel like such an idiot!

Off to google.

Ok, just read that if baby is engaged then you tend to have less heartburn. As I'm sitting here up at 4:30 a.m. BECAUSE of heartburn, I don't think my baby is engaged, yet.
