It's said that raspberry leaf doesn't induce, just strengthen the muscles ready for labour to make contractions more efficient, and it's said you can start from 1 cup a day and work up to about 4, from 32 weeks.
It's down to personal choice, and there's alot of 'apparently, and supposed to etc' because nothing really can prove if it actually helps or not
I didt take RLT for my first and although that labour was 'only' 8 and a half hours by the time I was allowed to push I couldnt as the contractions had got rubbish so I was put on a drip and he was ventouse'd. with my second I took raspberry leaf tablets from 34 weeks. Labout was 4 and a half hours and when I pushed he came out quickly, only a couple of pushes, will defo take raspberry leaf this time too. Its supposed to make the uterus more effective during the pushing stage
