steroid injection side affects???

hi ladies i was just wondering if anyone had any side affects from steroid injections (apart from a dead leg lol) i had my 1st 1 2day and iv got to go back for the second tomorrow well the reason im asking is about 3 hours after having it i started feeling realy out of breath so much so that i was feeling very dizzy also had a very fast hb wich i could see in my neck i then went on to pass out but i think i landed ok and my baby girl is moving just fine all this lasted for about 2 and a half hours i was even starting to think about going hospital and i only ever go if i realy realy feel i need to im ok now back to breathing normal

well anyways just wondering if anyone else has experianced anythink like this? i no it could be completley unrelated and i will ask them tomorrow about it when i go for my next jab xxx

i also had the steroid injections in my last preg but only got a dead leg from them had no other side affects other than helping my lil man x

Hi hun, didn't want to read and run.

I did have the steroid injections at 32 weeks but they didn't give me any side effects apart from a sore/dead leg. A lady who was on the same ward as me however also had them and ended up feeling a little sick/shaky although I wasn't sure if this was due to the jabs themselves

. Ask them when you see them tomorrow if you are concerned

thankyou for your reply i didnt get any side affects last time round so as i said dont no if its even related but im defantley gonna ask about it tomorrow for the 1st time in yrs i actualy felt like i needed a pump and i havnt had 1 since i was about 15 and this is my 4th pregnancy x

i had steroid shots about a week and a half ago and although I dont think the shots caused any side affects, I have been having blood pressure issues and have felt my heart race on and off and also have felt dizzy at times. I would let your Dr know you think you passed out, that doesnt seem normal to me, with or without the shots.

i suffer with low blood presure so i do tend to get dizzy and pass out mainly in pregnancy havent since i was about 4months pregnant though but when it happens i never have any trouble with breathing but this time it seems like it was my breathing that made me dizzy and pass out not my blood presure iv got to go hospital tomorrow for my 2nd jab and ill explain all to them then hopfully they will give me some answers x

No side effects for me either..I had them a few days ago. Tho I also have low bp and take other meds that make me feel generally crappy, so it's hard to tell!

Hi ...i had them at 32 weeks with tjis baby and ive never felt so weak and helpless
I could barely walk feeling so weak.constantly getting sick feeling queezy and how could I forget the massive hang over feeling. The head aches were un natural ....

When I got them with odhran id nothing besides a pretty sore ass

Mw said second time getting them has worse side effects but didnt explain y
I got the injections sun this time around and took til the Fri for me to feel any bit human again ...

Longest week.of my life x x x hope it helps

I had some on the 18th and 19 no side affects i aso have to take pills every 6 hrs to keep my contractuons from coming
