For those with GD or who had GD and had baby....

I have GD. I've been wondering about being induced at 39 weeks. The MW mentioned it once 2-3 weeks ago, but nothing since. My dad's gf had GD and they set her induction date at 39 weeks, and I've seen a few post where others got 39 week induction date. I'm in the US if that matters too. It's it a common certainty that I'll be set for induction and just haven't been told yet or just something they set by how the pregnancy is going? My dad's gf got her induction date 2 weeks before due. When she had baby measured at like 34-35 weeks he was a little over 5 lbs and when born he was 6lbs 5oz. When I had my baby measured he was at 7lbs 4 oz. I've just been wondering about this and wondered what everyone else's experience was or is. Thank you for reading

I had GD and knew Id be induced and got my date 1 week before. He was estimated to be 9lb and was 10lb 5oz

When did they give you his estimated weight?

Hi just popping in from second tri

I was induced with Skyla at 39 weeks. It was booked two days before! Her estimated weight was 9lb 7oz but she was only 7lb 13oz born!

OMG that is so wonderful to hear!! I'm praying that's what happens lol. I don't care what size he comes out, but inside I'm really hoping he's not 9 or 10 lbs lol. THANK YOU

I've been told 38 weeks but then I'm a twin mummy. They should bring it forward for you.

Hi hun, i found out at 35+6 with my little boy after my growth scan by the consultants/team who was managing my care. I guess it depends though in different countries/area. When do you next see your MW/Doctor/caregiver etc?x

I'm in the uk and been told 38 weeks, but getting growth scans and if he's big possibly at 37 weeks.
I had a growth scan at 27 weeks and 5 days and they said he weighs 2lb 11oz, so probably looking at 7.7-8lb when I'm induced, but will know more in a few weeks....

I go on Monday. I'll probably ask then and hopefully get a date. They won't do it before 39 weeks, I know that. That's just how my dr office is, but I'd at least like to know if I get to meet him a week early
