39 weeks and cervix is closed

Hey,

So I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. Went to the doctors today, and was hoping to at least be slightly dilated, but nope, my cervix is still high and closed, and not very soft. I just feel discouraged now today. I thought forsure this baby was going to be early, but I guess it's just not in the cards for me.

Has anyone else not been dilated at 39 weeks but had their baby on time? I know I don't get a choice and that he'll come when he's ready but I really dont want to be in the hospital for xmas..

sigh.

ahhhh

i can imagine how disapointed you are.. im hopeing to find out tomorrow exactly whats going on down there with me.. iv not yet even been looked at which i dont think is rightbut hay ho !! ..

have you been having any pains or other signs yet !? x

Poor soul, that's so discouraging! I'm the same as you really hoping my baby comes early and taking every little niggle as a sign that he will but in all honestly I'm just wishful thinking! Have you had any symptoms at all? The thing is, you will look back in a couple weeks time and think 'i was so impatient seems like no time since I wrote that and now baby's here!' x

I've had some cramping, and some changes in the bathroom department :P he's definitly dropped since I have some pelvic pain too. I thought forsure he'd be at least a week early, guess my intuition isn't quite right

I'm 37w2d and can't reach my cervix. I go to the doctor on Thursday, and hopefully she'll be able to find it. I get contractions constantly, so why the heck is my cervix so high!!!!!!!!!!!?

I feel for you, though... You're so close to due date... C'mon, baby; push DOWN on that thing!
