Why are 3D ultrasound SOOO expensive!

I really really want to get a 3D ultrasound but they are so expensive. Its like 200 dollars to get one. I feel guilty getting one because I could be getting him something he actually needs and just see him when he gets here but I really want to see him again!

Anyone get a good deal on one?

No one around me will even do it w/o a docs orders. I would have spent the money on it too.

They are expensive. Dh and I did one with Megan, but have decided to use the money towards pics after this baby is born instead. We haven't looked at the pics or DVD of the 3d since Megan was born, but early baby pics we've looked at and have up on the wall.

My doctors ultrasound has 4D and its free for us because our insurance covers everything. I also get a bunch of pics and a dvd! I think more doctors should start offering that because really if you go for a private 4D scan its pricey! But if that happens all those places will go out of business..

I spent about 115.00 US dollars on mine. Got 10 print out pictures, a cd with about 50 photos on it, 25 minute scan, and a dvd of the whole thing. The lady liked us and gave up alot of extra photos cause I was only suppose to get 5 printed, and 20 photos on the cd lol
