ECV failed....

They tried twice but apparantly Peanut's bum is well down in my pelvis & it wasn't going anywhere....
I now have a few days to try turning it myself somehow.....(any tips that have worked for you ladies?) and am at the clinic on Weds for them to give me a Section date if nothing has changed...
Am a little upset tbh, it wasn't what I wanted but I guess it can't be helped..
Please someone reassure me they've been in this position and avoided a Section....

no experience BUT I have heard and read that a lot of babies don't turn until your in active labor so I personally wouldn't get too discouraged there is still time!

I'm going to refuse an ecv because I believe that baby is in that position for a reason so don't wanna force him to move and cause any complications. Some babies even turn during labour contractions.
As your baby's bum is deep in pelvis then lying down with cushions under your bum in an inversion would help pull it out with gravity.
Good luck, hope you get your vaginal birth x

Ive heard playing relaxing music at the bottom of your bump will attract baby to turn its head down

Getting on all fours and bringing your chest lower to the ground is a supposedly good position to try and make baby turn- a book I have says to do it 3-4 times a day. Also accupuncture has been known to do wonders, I don't know if you would be interested in trying something like that!

I'm not exactly sure which goes where, but I have heard if you put a hot water bottle at bottom of belly and a cold compress at the top, baby will move toward the warm I believe. I'm not positive I have that right with which end to put them on, but look into it! At this point it is worth trying anything that might help.

You can still have a vaginal birth with a breech baby.... It's always your decision....
Have a look at www.spinningbabies.com
Or google spinning babies if that doesn't work... Lots of advise on that site

Spinning babies is an excellent site. i know a few midwives personally that recommend this website and use some of the positions within their practice on women in labour. Also moxibustion is also highly recommended.

Good luck xxx
