Question for those who already have babies. Lots of fetal movement = active baby?

Just wondering for all of you ladies who already have kids...

If you tended to experience a ton of fetal movement during pregnancy, did it seem to indicate a very active infant? Or even an infant who doesn't sleep well?

I just read this and wondered if it's been true for you.

"In the first formal study of fetal temperament in 1996, DiPietro and her colleagues recorded the heart rate and movements of 31 fetuses six times before birth and compared them to readings taken twice after birth. (They've since extended their study to include 100 more fetuses.) Their findings: fetuses that are very active in the womb tend to be more irritable infants. Those with irregular sleep/wake patterns in the womb sleep more poorly as young infants."

#1 wasn't half as active as this one and he was a 10-15 times a night waker from birth to 2 years, and dropped his day time sleeps completely at 6 weeks. This one is WAY more active so we will see if it's worse this time around.

My first pregnancy my daughter was so lazy and hardly moved at all. We were in oand out of the hospital because she wouldnt move all day long. When she came out she was extremely irritable and had terrible colic. She didnt like to nap and stayed awake screaming all day long. She did however sleep through the night from 2 weeks on. I am pregnant with our second little girl and she is the polar opposite. She moves 24/7. We shall see what her temperment is like in a few weeks!

My first daughter wasn't very active in the womb. When she was an infant she was a very content baby that only cried when she was hungry or needed to be changed. She slept through the night from 1 month old on. Very good sleeper! She still is calm and prefers quiet activities etc.

My second daughter was a mover. She moved all the time in the womb very active no patterns to her. As an infant she was more active. She had to be entertained with toys (sitting in a bouncer did not cut it for her like her older sister). Although she was more active (and to this day at 6 still is) she was also a very good sleeper. She was also sleeping by 1 month old. The only trouble I had with her sleeping was when she was teething.

My third daughter was not active in the womb. So I was prepared for another calm content baby. Boy was I wrong. From the day she was born she cried all the time. She cried so much the hospital staff commented on how she was the biggest (literally 9 pounds 13.9oz) crier they had in the nursery. She did not sleep through the night until she was 9 months old. Now at 3 she is the perfect mix between my oldest and middle daughter but as an infant she was very difficult.

The one I am currently pregnant with is also a mover. I am very curious to see what she is going to be like when she is born and hoping for a slight break after my third but we shall see!

My first was very active in the womb! He slept very well though. He took lots of naps and slept 12 hours a night from 7 weeks on ward. He still sleeps 12 hours a night or more at 6 years old... But...he started running at 9 months and hasn't slowed down since. He's very hyper and has to talk ALL the time. My daughter was less active in the womb than him and she has yet to sleep through the night at 18 months. She is very much a high needs baby! She has never slept well, never walked until 15 months, wants to be touching someone constantly, doesn't eat well and in is just difficult. She has also just discovered the temper tantrum. She is very shy and only likes certain people... But she is such a character and SO funny! I spend my entire day laughing at her, and if I want to relax she is happy to sit and cuddle for hours. This baby is not active at all. He has a moving spurt just before bed and that's it. I get little rolls and nudges every now and then to let me know he is ok but nothing much so it will be interesting to see his personality
