I know im laid back, should i be pushing for more info?

Ill try and keep this short! I've been sent to hospital 3 times in last 2 weeks with raised BP and increased fetal heartrate. Has always settled down and i've been sent home all clear.

What's playing on my mind is this- at 34 weeks my fundal measurement was 36, 36 weeks was 38, 38 weeks was 38 and now 39 weeks its dropped to 36 weeks.

I've seen other ladies comment on here about low fluid or slow growth- my midwife didn't seem to concerned but why would it shrink when i've always been ahead? Baby is 3/5 engaged and has been since 36 weeks.

Should i push for answers or be my usual "if they're not worried im not worried" self?? Would hate my laidback approach to have a negative impact on bubba.

Thanks for any advice you can give me xx

If you r really worried call mw and demand some answers.

With regards to fundal height, my mw who has about 30 years experience and grown up kids of her own, doesnt feel it is very accurate and only takes measurements bcos she has been told she must by health board.

At 32 wks i was measuring a week ahead but it levelled out at 34 wks. at my last app at 38 wks baby was still measuring 34 weeks but mw is not concerned. my lo is also 3/5ths engaged so assuming that as baby has dropped into pelvis, fundal height wouldnt increase much as most of baby's head is tucked away behind pubic bone.

But like i said, if you're worried call and ask some questions xxx

I wouldn't be worried by fundal height but with other things then maybe push midwife a bit more for answers! My fundal height was 1cm too small then 2 now 3 so had growth scan n baby has gone smaller but was still fine within range!

I'm laid back like u n don't usually ask questions but when people are tellin u that's not right makes u worry!

Just do what u feel x

It could be that since bubs has dropped in to position the positioning is causing a lower measurement but anything you don't understand/want confirmation of phone and ask...that is why they are there for us - cause they understand these things and we don't. Hope it's just bubs position. I do think if there was any concern then she would have mentioned something but it's your right to ask anything that doesn't add up for you
