Measuring small and AC dropped

So last week I had growth scan as I keep measuring 2-3cm smaller, baby was within range for gestational age so they wernt too bothered but had to see my midwife today and I'm still measuring small,

Also from growth scan it shows babies AC has gone from 95th centile to around 25th whereas FL and HC has gone up

She wants me to go back next week to check my growth again, what could cause this? She said baby does feel small but at 20 week scan I was told I'd have a very big baby n a lot bigger than dd who was 7lb 6 x

Hi I've been in the same situation for the past few weeks.

I had a growth scan done at 32 weeks and the ac was measuring small or below average as the sonographer put it. Everything else was fine though and placenta is in the right place and working. I was then referred to the consultant to discuss options, they said for me to have another scan at 34 weeks and if there was still no change to the growth then they would start considering steroids and being induced at 36 weeks.

I had 34 week scan today and bubs has had a growth spurt so the ac is back on track and they are happy with the progress. They did say there could be a number of reasons that affected the ac ie the baby is in fluid and takes in fluid at different times of the day so therefore it could be smaller or larger and can't be accurate, also it could be a blip by the sonographer and the measurement wasn't accurate or it could be due a growth spurt any day now.

I know it's easy for people to say don't worry it all be fine but I drove myself mad during the 2 week wait for the scan today. I scrawled the Internet trying to find answers but I guess the thing is every baby is different in the way it grows. If there was something majorly wrong then they would of done something there and then. I'm sure it will be fine for you

Hth. Xx
