Hey I'm 33+5 and it's my friends hen party tonight and I'm maid of honour so I have to be there but she goin to a Chinese restaurant but I havent eaten Chinese food during this pregnancy as midwife said not to but I'm just wondering is there anything safe to eat as don't want to look like a fool not eating .
So long as the food is cooked through, it's safe. I can't imagine why anyone would say not to eat Chinese food, when it tends to be rice, vegetables and meat, like any other cuisine. One thing I would check though is that the restaurant is MSG free- otherwise its fine.x
I do not think it should be a problem and that too if you only eat once in a while. The restaurant Chinese food tends to have MSG (unless it is banned in your area), and too much MSG is not good for anyone, pregnant or otherwise. However, I am 100% sure eating it once in a blue moon won't harm you or the baby at all.
My Chinese friend had a healthy baby last month and she ate Chinese food every day.
I haven't a clue why midwife said not to eat it but she's also very cautious with everything she has me a bloody nervous wreck.the only Chinese food I like is shredded beef in black bean sauce.how do I know if the restaurant is MSG free?
