I post my progression on facebook. I don't keep random people on there, and the ones I don't want to see it I simply block my statues update from them. I probably won't be updating at all during labor, Im not addicted enough to have it on my phone so there would be no way anyways. Honestly my cervix progression has gotten more "likes" than any other statues I usually post about something that means nothings. Alot of my facebookers are mothers, or pregnant and they like the updates. Some people are private people, I however am not, and will not stop posting something they might not like, cause you can't please everyone. I'm excited and I share with my friends. Tomorrow after my appointment I will also let them know if im dilated even more this week

I post almost everything about my pregnancy on my facebook.. ive actually gotten messages from several people telling me they love my updates and follow my pregnancy every day..ive gotten a lot of support from friends through facebook.. since many of my friends have never been pregnant before (im only 21 years old) i think they enjoy learning and hearing about the real truths behind pregnancy. I plan on updating during my labor and delivery but not going overboard and letting everyone know every time I dilate lol

I don't think I will be wanting to post everything while I'm in labor because I am going 100% drug free so I don't think facebook will even be on my mind..lol

I'll probably post that going to the hospital and maybe if things are going really slow just be like come on baby! and then a photo sometime after but right immediately and just post time and weight and etc. but I don't see a need why anyone REALLY needs to know everything else

I have mentioned how things are going with my pregnancy on fb. I mention how the baby is doing. I don't go into great details. I don't mention my cervix being short or anything but I have said that I go to a high risk clinic.

I guess I am guilty of it as well, but I would not feel comfortable telling people stuff in detail.

Each to their own I guess. I think it depends on your situation. If I had less people on facebook I'd probably be a lot more open but I've got people from school who I haven't seen for a long time, aquaintances etc. which is my own fault obviously but I'm just too polite to ignore a friend request, it's very rare I actually add someone. Sometimes I wish I could whittle it down to my close friends and then I could be a lot more open etc.

I've tried not to go on too much, in case I upset anyone. A few of my friends have had mcs or are trying and I don't want to seem like I'm going on about it too much, especially if I was to moan about every symptom, I can completely empathise from when I was ttc that's not really what you want to read.

On the other hand it is lovely to share, I made sure I posted pictures of my surprise baby shower to show the lovely gifts I was given, wanted to share how happy I was and how lovely people had been. As well as my 4d scans I was proud to show off my lovely little baby. So I suppose it's just an individual choice how comfortable you feel sharing with facebook, I do wonder if people remember sometimes that 100+ people might be reading what you've just said :-/

But re: original question I'm fairly certain I won't be posting through labour, if I want to update anyone I'll text my sister or one of my close friends - if I have time, I have a feeling it's the last thing on your mind lol
I too am worried someone will announce my baby's name, weight etc. I don't mind *too* much if someone wants to say congratulations, but I'd be upset if someone posted a picture or something.

Half of my friends on FB are my family. I post a pic from each scan Ive had, 3 bump pics and today was my first baby related status in the last 22 weeks. I wont be even going onto my FB while in labour, I dont even plan to have my phone on. (Hubby can have his on)

What is going to annoy me most is if someone announces the birth of little one before we do. Im VERY tempted not to tell anyone we are going into have her.
