is labour on its way??

Hey ladies,

hoping you can offer some advice.... i was induced with my son so dont know how it feels to go into natural labour.
i walked my little boy to school thismorn, its 20mins there and 20mins back, so i was walking for 40mins but didnt have any pain when walking.... but then about 30mins later when i was mopping the floor i started having really bad pain in my tummy, particularly on my right side. i started contracting and it was so sharp and sudden and went on for quite a while, i couldnt even walk.
this went on erratically for about 2 hours, along with back pain and shooting pains down my cervix. since then- and until now the pains have eased, but i am still having regular tightenings that arent painful just uncomfortable, some last over 2 mins but there is no pattern to them.
what could this be?has anyone experienced something similar and then gone into labour soon after? xx

It could be true labor but it could also be stronger than usual bh contractions since you're almost there.

It's hard to say. If you lie down and take a rest, and they stop. Then probably not. But then, if you keep walking around and being active. It may turn into full blown labor. LOL

When I went into labour with my second child (my only all natural one), I had contractions start then stop. I started walking up and down the hill in front of our house, and within a few hours I had full blown contractions and headed to the hospital.
