Pregnancy book recommendations??

Hi ladies! I'm popping over from first tri because I need some advice. This is my first pregnancy and I want to buy some pregnancy books online, but I'm totally overwhelmed. I always assumed I'd get "What to expect when you're expecting", but the first few reviews on Amazon are not so great, so now I'm kind of torn. So I'm wondering if you ladies have any books that you feel like have been really helpful and informative??

Thank you!!!

I got"What to Expect" but haven' t been very impressed with it. I've heard really good things about this book, though, and it's probably what I'd buy if I did things over:

My friend also got me this one, and while it isn't the most informative book ever it is good for a chuckle

I have this book called "YOU: Having a Baby" and I really like it!
http://www.amazon.com/YOU-Having-Own...0048977&sr=1-1
It is humorous and it has a lot of good information.

I also have "I'm Pregnant!"
http://www.amazon.com/Im-Pregnant-we...0049065&sr=1-1
This book has a very good week by week guide and it is packed with lots of useful tips and information.

Here in Canada, when we leave the hospital, we're given a book called, 'baby's best chance'. Not helpful I know, but you could probably order a copy online or something. . Its a great read and very informative.

I rather liked the 'what to expect in the first year' book.

I bought "What to expect" and never really read it, because each time I opened it up, I thought, "Yep, already know that. Read it online." So my advice is save yourself the money and just use the internet. Everything you ever wanted to know and more, and it's completely free!

If you're interested, you might want to give Ina May's Guide to Childbirth a try as well as Riki Lake's Your Best Birth if you want more information on natural labor/birth than What to Expect can provide.
ETA: well you might want to wait a bit before you read them, but they are good books!

There's a book series from the Sears Parenting Library. (As in Dr. Sears)

Those might be an option for you as well. The one I'm currently reading is The Baby Sleep Book.

I have what to expect: its a boring read and I dont really look at it much to be honest.

The rough guide to pregnancy - written in a practical bridget jones style way. I enjoy reading it week by week as its good for a chuckle-diary and then followed up with some decent practical advice:
http://www.amazon.com/Rough-Guide-Pr...0054018&sr=1-1

Pregnancy day by day - defo go for the hardcover edition - this is a fascinating book. I love opening it up every day to get a whole page about what might have changed and also practical advice on all matters. A great book fo sho!
http://www.amazon.com/Pregnancy-Day-...0054221&sr=1-7

I also have the active birth: a new approach to giving birth naturally book that is specific for labour and delivery - very useful in teaching you how to prepare for the big day (stretching, yoga etc) and also how to cope with labour in a natural way. The pictures are really outdated but you know what, it doesnt matter because labour has always stayed the same and if you wanna go med intervention free, this is really useful and informative:
http://www.amazon.com/Active-Birth-A...0054397&sr=8-1

I have a few others, but the ones i listed above are the ones i like most.

For fun:

Do Chocolate Lovers Have Sweeter Babies: The Surprising Science of Pregnancy

Loved it! Doesn't get TOO science-y, more like evolutionary theories, has some of her personal stories, breaks down some myths, etc.
