Missed my "This is it moment"....

Hi ladies, just a brief update for you all.

My waters broke at 3.30am last Tuesday 21/2....right at 38 weeks.

It turned out that my little one who had been in the perfect position all along decided to have a wee change of position and go back to back with mummy. Labouring back to back was the most excruciating pain i have ever experienced in my life.....mind u i might be a bit of a wuss and i wasnt allowed painkillers other than paracetamol due to a severe codeine allergy which is present in most of the things they could give me.

So there we were....25 hours later after an epidural (best thing ever) and failure to prgress after a thick 9cms dilation we just weren't getting any further so a c-section was called for. I was just so happy to finally get a light at the end of tunnel as i was shattered.

So at 4.50am our wee Lucie was born weighing 7lbs 1.5oz and absolutely perfect! She is just beautiful!

Sorry for the brief summery of it all, I just thought i'd let you all know of our new little arrival.
