My doctor says that they don't really worry until it's 145/90.
It's all relevant to what you have been.
My doctor started watching mine because through my entire pregnancy I was 117/70 then I shot up to 140/95. He said that at 33 weeks it is too early to really show preeclampsia but it's important to watch.
Flashing lights are not a good sign but he also said check your BP non stop isn't good either because it makes you worry more.

I have high bp and results are same at dr and at home ( 140-155/94-105). I don't have pe though. Pe would have protein in urine, horrible headaches that don't go away, swelling, horrible pain in upper right abdomen, bad vision changes like tunnel vision. Was told some flashy lights or spots that go away again right away are not a sign of pe.

When you take your bp are you sitting and resting for a while before taking it? How is your diet lately? High salt can make it go higher than your norm.

I don't want to sound like an old record (hehe) but even if you think you are relaxed, you are still thinking about your BP and checking it regularly so i think you are probably anxious even if you don't realise, which won't be helping matters.

RThomasUCF has just given really good advice too. I have high BP generally so in pregnancy it gets even higher, but the only time i have ever been admitted because of it was when i was around 135/90 something late on in my first pregnancy, and that was just to monitor me to make sure it didn't get any higher overnight.

I really would suggest going to the hospital to be checked again, if only to ease your mind , or maybe if you don't want to do that you could make a doctor or MW appointment in the morning? xx

Your bp is a little bit elevated, but it's not bad at all. Although it's much better to be safe than sorry and to keep monitoring it I was diagnosed with high blood pressure around 22/23 weeks and mine has been around that range, sometimes a little higher. I had a Dr's appointment today and mine spiked to 160/94 which is pretty high esp when pregnant, so now I'm on meds. Just keep monitoring, any other symptoms such as headaches or dizziness I would call your mw.
