I think it depends on your hospital, doctor, location, and recovery. Over here (Canada) if there are no complications and baby is OK they send you home after 2 days. It can be as much as 5 days if there are problems, like if you get infected etc.

Im in the UK too. When I had my first section I was in for 5 days, this time round Im going to be in for 2 if all is well.

Im not sure if its different here in the UK from you but my friend just had her baby a month ago at 8pm on Monday by section and she was let home on Wednesday morning! x
